Transportation

To arrive in the City of Colima you have various options. If flying into Mexico, the easiest option is Mexico City (MEX) and then a domestic flight to Colima (CLQ), which takes just one hour (details below). The closest international airports are Guadalajara (GDL) and Manzanillo (ZLO), which are 3 and 2 hours from Colima respectively. However, the cost will be increased by a necessary taxi journey between the airport and bus station (about $20 in each case). There is no bus service. Sometimes cheap flights are offered to Puerto Vallarta (PVR), 6 hours away by bus.
